Eddie Jock is selected here ahead of Traffic Guard and Mesbaah. He may be quirky but Eddie Jock looks the one to beat here following his determined Britannia Stakes win at Royal Ascot last time. Go On Be A Tiger partially restored his good reputation with a reasonable second over the Rowley Mile last time, while Jo'Burg has a bit to find on Britannia Stakes form. Mesbaah is potentially interesting, having shown decent juvenile form, while Traffic Guard ran a blinder in first-time cheekpieces last time to finish fourth in the Jersey Stakes, and he has to come right into things based on that form. Finally, Cumin also represents solid juvenile form and First Buddy won his maiden at Nottingham well enough, but he will have to improve a good deal on the bare form of that race in order to feature today. Once again, then, the selection is Eddie Jock.
