Mukhber looks like he is improving fast and is taken to land this opener at the expense of Stevie Thunder and Albaqaa. The selection won on his debut at Newmarket last year but he has taken his time to get his head in front this season. He was seen to good effect though when scoring at Sandown back in May. Although he is now four pounds higher as a result he still looks well treated and with further improvement still to come and he is hard to oppose. Stevie Thunder bids for his hat-trick after wins at Sandown and Newcastle and is now nine pounds higher than when winning the first of those. This will be his stiffest task to date but he is still worth noting in the betting market as his stable are notorious for having a touch in the ring. Albaqaa is more exposed than most but he can put his experience to use and if showing his true colours he has each way claims, but for the winner we return to MUKHBER.
