No favourite has won for eight years but Mark Johnston has won the last two. Mythical City is on a four-timer, though is stepping up markedly in grade having won a Class 4 handicap last time. Resonant is the other Middleham raider and he's been beaten twice in this grade after completing a double in minor class. Dissolution failed to get a clear run in the King George V Handicap at Ascot over 1m4f but his earlier form over this trip would give him a very good chance of getting back on the winning trail. His stablemate MUNTADAB looks the one to be on after making his handicap debut with a victory at Sandown where he had subsequent winner Banditry in second place. There will be more to come and he can see off the challenge of Azmaam, who ran a fine race when runner-up to the older Master The World here last month and The Queen's runner Awesome Power.
