This doesn't look the strongest of Groups 2 events and is more notable for there not being a Cecil or Stoute runner. Aunt Rita, a half-sister to high class chaser Celibate, turned in a workmanlike display when winning at York and that run received a boost when the runner-up that day, went on to win her maiden. All-Weather winner Cassis, takes a big step up in class and this half-sister to seven winners must not be underestimated. Both Spinola and Pearl Dance are open to any amount of improvement, but the vote goes to Queen Mary runner-up Never A Doubt. Her dam was a winner over seven-furlongs, so this step up in trip should suit her well. The form of that race was given a lift by Speed Cop, who won her maiden at Bath on Monday. French raider Zanoubia doesn't look good enough, while Presto Vento has it all to do to reverse Queen Mary running with Never A Doubt. Wimple and Spiritual Air look out of their depth.
