Verdict

The performance of Elzaam earlier on the card will be a key indicator to the chance of ROAYH, which looks very good on paper, while the Hannon pair Casual Glimpse and Major Dude hold more interest than the remainder. The last-named look destined for better when the ready winner of a 6f Windsor maiden a month ago, although the form of the race has not worked out well and that does not fuel confidence. Casual Glimpse also impressed when a staying-on debut winner over the minimum trip at Goodwood, and he didn't appear to take to Epsom last time, so he is not one to be deserting yet on ground that should suit. Extra Power should be suited by the return to this trip after success at Sandown, and with the runner-up having won well since then the form looks decent, so he is respected. Similarly, the form of Lord Of The Stars has since been franked by The Paddyman's Yarmouth romp, and it would be foolish to be dogmatic about which can make the more progress today. Fiftyaan is a very well-related newcomer who should go on the fast ground, but Roayh is the one to beat.
