Another race to look forward to and after serving his ban for refusing to enter the stalls, SPANISH MOON is the selection to get the better of Holberg, while Tazeez has strong frame claims. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained selection has not raced on British soil since winning a Listed event at Kempton 20 months ago. That has not stopped him winning Group 1 and Group 2 contests in France in the interim, and last time we saw him on the track he pushed Dar Re Mi close in the Group 1 Dubai Sheema Classic. Trip and ground are ideal for him and he goes well when fresh, so he is a confident choice. Next best in the race looks to be Holberg. The Halling colt won last year's Queen's Vase over two miles, but in his only subsequent start showed that he is still very effective over this shorter trip when winning a Listed Goodwood race. Conditions suit and he is very much respected. Tazeez has won here over 10f and now tries this trip for the first time. He is not certain to stay, but it is worth a try as he does seem to come up just short in this company, though a place in the frame is very much a possibility. Redwood has a bit to prove at this level judged on recent runs and Man Of Iron may prove to be another challenger for some prize money, but Spanish Moon looks the part for today.
