In depth

Verdict

Astrocharm is given the narrow vote in a tricky finale with Lucky Leo and Sangiovese put forward as the main dangers. The selection won well last time out when defeating Act Of The Pace in good style and although he has risen in the weights for that win he is taken to go in again with conditions to suit. Lucky Leo rates the main danger as he is one of the least exposed in the field and he escapes a penalty for his latest win over Man The Gate in an apprentice race. Sangiovese is another in top form and he defeated Danakil last time, but this looks more competitive and for that reason he is passed over. Mephisto is another that is worth considering as he won well last time at York when beating Court Of Appeal, but for the winner we return to Astrocharm.
