A race confined to fillies and in which Secret Formula can build on a good Royal Ascot effort; Sister Bluebird and Dove Tree could post the biggest challenges to her. The selection was a very good fourth in the Sandringham Stakes last time and the drop back to seven furlongs here from that mile trip should suit her well. Sister Bluebird was one-and-a-quarter lengths behind her that day and reopposes on the same terms. Dove Tree is progressing , having won both of her races this season, but now faces the acid test of a step up in class. She could well be up to it. Of the others, Zither is six pounds worse off for the nine lengths she finished ahead of Elidore at Leicester in June, and she loves to hear her hooves rattle, so the faster the going the better. Paul Cole has given Zietory plenty of time and she has not been seen since May. However, the stable is in form and Kieren Fallon is an interesting booking. Pantone won a Sandown handicap off 78 in June but more will be needed, that comment applying to the bottom four in the list too. It all points to Secret Formula to provide the solution to this race.
