DUBBURG looks ready to strike and is preferred to Everaard and Black Rain. Jamie Spencer is one from one aboard Black Rain and there's no doubting that he's handicapped to strike if he's come on for last month's run. Seventh Cavalry didn't appear to do an awful lot wrong in defeat at Salisbury on either of his last two starts. You can't escape that he's still a maiden after fifteen starts but the handicapper has given him every chance. None of Mount Hermon, Sonny Parkin nor Old Romney are the most straightforward either whilst Bookiebasher Babe blotted her copybook with a poor run at Yarmouth. They are all capable of winning but we prefer the claims of Everaard and Dubburg whilst the resurgence of the Fanshawe yard ensures that Spensley is considered. Everaard has run sound races the last twice and has a race in him at this trip but Willie Musson's charge looks the better handicapped of the pair having slipped 18lbs from his initial mark in Ireland. He ran his best race since joining this yard on his latest start despite playing up at the start and, as long as he doesn't get worked up, Dubburg looks sure to go close.
