A decent renewal of this Group 3 won by the likes of Soviet Song and Maid’s Causeway in the past. The Johnston stable has sent out the winner in three of the last eight years so Lakota Sioux is definitely worth a second look after placing in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot, though Ivory Madonna arguably achieved more when third in the Albany Stakes. However, she was then beaten in a maiden here and others may have more scope. Alseyoob made most over track and trip here on debut and the third has franked the form since but NOVAKAI was more visually impressive at Doncaster and she may be capable of taking this big step up in class in her stride. Lady Alara reared as the stalls opened at Sandown so that effort can be upgraded with Dandy Alys and Mottisfont not out of this either.
