There are a number of interesting newcomers here, but preference is for those runners who have the benefit of experience, and Sophie Jo, Korikancha, and Pure Illusion are the ones to consider with Pure Illusion the selection. Sophie Jo has shown promise on both her starts to date and she is improving. A good fourth on her bow at Newmarket, she stepped up in grade at Nottingham next time and finished a three length second. She looks sure to be thereabouts but may find one or two too speedy. Jeremy Noseda saddles Korikancha, who made her debut just a week ago, over this course and distance, and although outpaced in the closing stages, it was a promising display, as she finished fourth. She looks set to come on for the experience. Pure Illusion gets a confident vote however, after an excellent debut at Newbury. The daughter of Danehill was staying on in eye-catching style at the finish behind Red Ash, beaten just over three lengths into third. She looks an exciting type and believe it or not Pure Illusion is the selection.
