      Verdict

Not much public form to go on here, but Ouqba sets a fair standard and he is taken to get the better of Heliodor and Desire To Excel. Barry Hills has his string in good form and this colt made a pleasing debut here when chasing home Art Connoisseur. He missed the break that day and was staying-on powerfully at the finish, so with that experience under his belt he should go close today. Heliodor is another that shaped with promise on his debut when he chased home Miss Chamanda. That was a good effort and he should progress from it, but he is bred to need another furlong or two to be seen at his best and for that reason we will take him on. Desire To Excel hails from the Paul Cole yard who can ready a newcomer and this half-brother to the high-class Silver Touch is well worth a look in the market, especially as the yard have made a good start to the season. Marcus Tregoning's Finjaan is the other worth a market check, but for the winner we will stick with Ouqba who sets a decent standard for the rest.
