This looks like, potentially, the weakest of the maidens and Tartan Bearer can make a winning debut; Foolin Myself and Day Of Destiny make it to the shortlist. Sir Michael Stoute's son of Spectrum is a full-brother to Golan and he looks to be starting off at the right trip. Whilst the stable's runners can often improve for the run, if the market speaks in this favour then he should be a major force especially with his stable banging in the winners. Nayef Star comes from a stable who can ready a newcomer so Jeremy Noseda's colt is one to watch for market support, along with the Barry Hills-trained Day Of Destiny. His breeding is perhaps not as striking as some of his well-touted stablemates but nevertheless he shouldn't be overlooked. His stablemate Foolin Myself started a big price on debut over this course and distance but excelled himself with a close-up fifth. He will no doubt get further in time but he should be all the wiser for that debut outing. The other newcomers will need checks in the betting, however Tartan Bearer looks the most interesting and is fancied to score.
