A few of these will be seen to better effect over further so, with that in mind, it may be profitable to side with Lady Doris Watts, who is selected in preference to newcomers Archeology and Discuss, who will surely be seen in a better light over further. None of those with previous experience have set the pulses racing as yet, with Ahdaaf marginally edging it as the one to have shown the best signs of ability so far. Archeology obviously has to be respected, as she represents connections that have really enjoyed their first campaign with 'in-house' training of their juveniles. However, with Godolphin's first and second choice jockeys engaged at Longchamp and Redcar, there has to be a suspicion that not much is expected of Archeology on her debut and she may be using this as a learning curve. Discuss makes limited appeal for racing over six furlongs and is also expected to use this as a platform for next season. So the value call goes to Lady Doris Watts, who was quite well fancied before she got loose before her intended debut last week and can make amends today.
