A chance is taken with Boundless Prospect, who edges a narrow verdict over Everest and Songhol, while the old boy Topton can never be ruled out in this sort of company. Topton does have a frustrating habit of leaving his supporters guessing right up until the line and has never been for the feint hearted to get involved with. However, he has been a tremendous money-spinner for a low-grade handicapper and has an each-way chance again if he is in the mood today. Songhol got her act together at Doncaster when she was last seen out and is entitled to respect. The drop back to a mile obviously suits her and she can again go close off just a 2lb higher mark. Everest loves this track and is thriving on being kept busy at present. He is still on a winning mark and should be thereabouts if he runs his usual race. However, he was just over a couple of lengths behind Boundless Prospect when they met here in July and now has something to prove. Therefore, we stick with Gay Kelleway's charge, as he too loves to weave his way through on the July course. The six-year-old has held his form well this term and can help give his owner/trainer another happy day out at her local course.
