Torquemada had to work harder than may have looked likely to beat For Life at Lingfield last term and may have won with more in hand so is taken to confirm that form on 2lb worse terms with Joy And Pain rated the best of the remainder. The selection took advantage of a drop in class when successful at Lingfield and has an obvious chance of following up off just a 3lb higher mark today. Smile For Us ran better at Pontefract last time and has claims on that evidence, while Barons Spy is another that looks to be going the right way. Dispol Isle disappointed last time but is better than she showed at Thirsk and David Barron's filly makes more appeal than Kareeb, who is out of form at present. Joy And Pain is consistent and can be expected to run his usual good race but preference is for the rejuvenated Torquemada.
