        Verdict

        Ofelia and Winter Picnic appeal as typical sorts to fare significantly better now moving into handicaps whilst Marlismamma turns up just half a dozen days after disappointing at Beverley. She'd shown enough previously to indicate a small handicap such as this could come her way off a mark of 52. Vosne Romanee has found life slightly tougher off his current mark but is respected here although he may be just that little too close to DUTCH LADY in the handicap to overturn the topweight. The latter has progressed well this term and finished to real effect when causing a 50-1 shock at Thirsk last time. This follow-up attempt will clarify if there was any element of fluke about that victory but it didn't look that way and is taken to back up her victory despite an 8lb punishment from the assessor.
