Verdict

There wouldn't be a dry eye in the house if Hannah Lewis can boot home Overlut to a third successive victory in the race but a recent defeat in a Ladies Open at Cothelstone was unexpected and it may be prudent to look elsewhere. BYERLEY BEAR was a proven soft ground performer when trained by Henry De Bromhead and he's been a safe conveyance in his new career, latterly winning an event at Holincote, so he gets the nod. Rash Move was third in last year's Foxhunters at Aintree, and having been in good form between the Flags in recent weeks, Fred Hutsby's veteran has plenty to recommend him despite advancing years. Utopian was second to More Of That in a maiden hurdle at Folkestone a couple of years ago and despite a couple of mistakes, he has already landed Hunters events at Fakenham and Fontwell.
