In depth

Verdict

Rum And Butter is likely to have plenty of supporters with Tony McCoy heading down to Stratford though he'll need to be at his best to defy the penalty he accrued for a recent victory at Kempton and MCLLHATTON may be able to take his measure. Paul Nicholls' six-year-old was no mug over hurdles with victories at Huntingdon and Fontwell but it appears significant that the trainer hasn't wasted too much time over the smaller obstacles, and this appears to be an ideal starting point. The Jugopolist won a selling hurdle at Leicester for Rebecca Curtis and was well beaten in a similar event at Southwell. Dr Anubis appears impossible to fancy on all known form.
