          Verdict

          RIO SANDS has proved difficult to catch right though as a son of Captain Rio, he should be able to appreciate these testing conditions and repeat his victory of last year. Third at Hamilton, it will be interesting to see how the winner of that race gets on in an earlier contest. Guto appreciates Southwell so getting his toe in should help. He was not too far away at Yarmouth in August. Embra has put up some of his better efforts at Newcastle in the past. Angle Of Attack is potentially well treated in relation to his rating on an artificial surface whilst Future Gem has put up some reasonable efforts at this time of the year in the past and connections have booked Joe Fanning on what is a relatively rare booking for the stable. Gower Sophia is often backed in races of this nature though its 19-0 to the bookmakers during her career.
