        Verdict

        EVEN STEVENS has a pedigree that suggests soft going won't be a problem so we will side with Jeremy Glover's juvenile despite a fairly inauspicious start to his career. Falmouth Bay has to be watched in the market. A US$ 190000 purchase, he will be capable of improvement next year. Shadow Catcher has two experiences under his belt and Michael Dods' stable are out of the mid-season doldrums. The yard are also responsible for Youhavecontrol, who makes some appeal as a son of Hawk Wing. Motivado makes his first visit to the racecourse for Sir Mark Prescott. Oh So Kool was not knocked about on debut at Lingfield so it will be fascinating to see what today holds.
