Many of these have become disappointing, in particular Gold Post, who began with a narrow defeat by Zoffany at Leopardstown in April but hasn't progressed as expected. He was unplaced behind Stand To Attention at Fairyhouse last time when another disappointing type, Long Time Coming, finished eighth. In front of the pair of them that day was MAMA SOX, who came from out of the pack to finish strongly into fifth. That was only her second start and with further progress likely she can take this for John McConnell and the promising Sam James. Lara Larisa has run well on her last two starts, both over the minimum trip, and she was staying on nicely behind subsequent winner Natalisa at Down Royal last time. Dermot Weld's newcomer Oh What A Kitten is one to keep an eye on in a race that may not take too much winning.
