Up Tempo seems to have been improved by the new surroundings of Kevin Ryan's stable having left Tim Easterby's stable and gets the vote to make a winning return to the turf at the main expense of recent all-weather scorer Stoic Leader and the reappearing Highland Warrior. The last mentioned ended last season in good form but normally needs a run or two to put him spot on. Stoic Leader comes here on a hat trick but has a 6lb penalty to carry for his latest success on the sand and looks plenty high enough in the weights for his return to turf. Top weight Tre Colline has a long absence to overcome and of more interest may be African Spur who has been running well on the all-weather of late. Soba Jones and Ronnie From Donny who also come here fit from the sand are others worthy of a mention in a competitive contest but the vote goes to Up Tempo. The six-year-old took well to the Fibresand this year, winning twice from four starts but the son of Flying Spur remains well treated and is taken to make a winning return to the turf.
