European Dream, Hassaad and Zero Tolerance are the three to focus on here, with Zero Tolerance taken to score on ground he relishes. European Dream is chasing a hat-trick after wins at Ripon and Redcar, but a six pound penalty for his latest success may just find him out, although he will handle the ground. Hassaad was backed into favouritism for the highly competitive Zetland Gold Cup following an Ascot win on his re-appearance, but was very unlucky, meeting trouble in running when travelling well. He was a disappointment next time, staying on but never really getting in a blow. He has only run once before on an easy suface, being well beaten on his debut, so he is taken on. After finishing down the field in highly competitive contests, Zero Tolerance ran very well to be close fourth at York last time. He has been given a month's break, and with the ground likely to be more testing here, he is given the nod, and Zero Tolerance can lead them home.
