A very tight handicap where none can seriously be discounted. Tony Tie goes well at this time of year and has to be considered off a mark only 4lb higher than for winning this last year. He acts on most types of ground and his latest outing hinted at a return to form after some lack-lustre efforts last month. Kareeb is another whose consistency has improved of late and he had some useful types in behind him when finishing third at Royal Ascot last time. However, his style of running will always require a modicum of luck in running and he has a very poor strike-rate for an animal of his ability. Sarraaf and Adobe are closely-matched on their Ayr form from last week and have also been expensive to follow this season, so the in-form Donna's Double, who is as yet unbeaten under Kevin Darley, may prove to be the value selection in a wide-open contest.
