      In depth

      Verdict

David Barron's Ingleby Exceed showed improved form when landing a Redcar maiden last month and has claims in a nursery for the first time but she is far from certain to handle the underfoot conditions and looks best watched. Tom Dascombe's Back For Tea may do better now sent into this grade off a lowly mark but is another that has yet to prove his effectiveness on going this soft, while Mick Channon's Saucy Buck probably needs some help from the handicapper. Declan Carroll's Watts Up Son seems too high in the weights and this may be fought out by two runners who contested a similar event over course and distance earlier this month in Mick Easterby's BELLEMERE and Reel Amber with preference for the former who can win again meeting her rival on just 8lb worse terms for three-and-a-half lengths.
