In depth

Verdict

Son Du Silence was out of his depth at Ripon last time but is back in the right grade here. I'll Be Good has been knocking on the door, but Dark Ages has struggled in nurseries since winning his maiden at Nottingham in May though is starting to come down the weights. Lord Buffhead has more to do than when winning over C&D two weeks ago but there are possibilities about Valley Of Hope, who had a troubled passage at Catterick last time and could reverse that form with Half A Billion. But the vote goes to TIP TOP GORGEOUS, who showed terrific speed to win by five lengths at Carlisle and may be improving quickly enough to defy her penalty.
