BAJAN PRIDE can follow up his recent victory with a success at the main expense of Grey Command and Red Skipper. The majority of the jockeys here are inexperienced however the jockey on-board the selection already has two wins under the belt from just over 20 rides. The horse showed plenty of guts to win at Wolverhampton on Friday and with the yard in red-hot form is fancied to defy a 6lb penalty. Gulf Coast is capable of better as he was off the track for a long time before reappearing at Beverley, whilst the drop in trip will suit Grey Command and John Cavanagh gets on well with the son of Daylami. The well-handicapped Mehendi needs a market check, Red Skipper tries cheek-pieces for the first time as he steps up in trip, whilst Shekan Star was holding her form well when seen last year and is a player off a mark of 53. Any market move for Sharp Sovereign should be noted, however along with Pivarina he is passed over in favour of the in-form Bajan Pride.
