      Verdict

      NIMUE should get this longer trip ok and is preferred to Sweet Child O' Mine and Battlemaiden. Paul Cole's filly ran well in defeat at Newmarket last time out, staying on well for third despite not getting a clear run. Granted more luck in running here (likely to be held up once again) it would be surprising were she not to feature in the first three. Ananda Kanda may prefer some rain judging by her form last year, so a bigger threat could be Sweet Child O' Mine who has been in good form over the winter on the all-weather and must not be underestimated on her turf debut over an ideal trip. Battlemaiden is bred to appreciate this mile trip and this Shamardal filly looks fairly handicapped as she returns to action, Dance For Julie is better than a reappearance run at Lingfield might suggest, whilst Bear Tobouggie is open to lots of improvement but the race she won at Redcar looks weak. Brink must be considered off bottom-weight with a good young jockey booked, however the vote of confidence goes to Nimue.
