Verdict

Beyondtheflame has shown nothing in seven starts now so this looks a match between The Nipper and ELUSIVE THEATRE. The former has yet to match her smart form in bumpers but bounced back from a couple of setbacks to win at Lingfield last month beating a horse rated 115 by a length. But today’s rival is now rated 122 having won easily at Ayr recently and Stuart Crawford’s charge may well come out best in this on today’s terms.

Formwatch

Elusive Theatre (IRE) 1-4fav (11-2) Made all, soon clear, driven between last 2, kept on well, unchallenged, won at Ayr 2m mdn (5) sft in Feb beating Our Valentina (11-2) by 5l, 11 ran.

The Nipper (IRE) 8-13fav (11-0) Took keen hold, tracked leading pair, went 2nd briefly and jumped right 4th, led next, clear 2 out, hard ridden run-in, all out, won at Lingfield 2m (4) hvy in Jan beating Phoeniciana (11-0) by 1l, 6 ran.

Beyondtheflame 250-1 (10-12) Keen, soon prominent, lost place 4th, behind when pulled up before 3 out, at Sedgefield 2m 4f (4) gs in Jan.
