Landofhopeandglory lost his unbeaten record to Bapaume in a Leopardstown Grade 2 after beating him narrowly here earlier. He was conceding 3lb and only beaten just over a length and collateral form puts him about level with DINARIA DES OBEAUX. Gordon Elliott's filly finished 7l behind Bapaume when the latter was runner-up in the Grade 1 Spring Hurdle at Leopardstown but that was only her second run over timber and she looks to have the scope to go on to better things. Ex Patriot was a further 5l behind in that latter event and may do better over further while Prospectus was a long way behind Landofhopeandglory at Leopardstown. The selection's stable companion Mengli Khan was only a length behind Ex Patriot here last month when conceding 5lb and looks to have a very bright future.
