Thoutmosis could be the answer here ahead of Fly Kicker and Mister Chisum. The selection looked good when winning a Kelso novices' hurdle in March and ran as though he needed his seasonal return 14 days ago. He is fairly lightly raced, showed fair form on the Flat in France and, with time on his side should have a bit more progress to come. Fly Kicker will make a bold bid to land a straight hat-trick of wins but is now 12lbs higher than for the first of those, which both came at Wetherby. Mister Chisum won three times in March/April time from a highest mark of 93, a mark that races from here. Hopeful Chance returned from a long absence to run fifth at Kelso last time. He has won from a mark of 76 and, even though he is rated 87 here, is entitled to have improved with age. The New Zealand-bred Vulcan Lane has showed a modicum of promise and is lightly-raced and races in cheekpieces for the first time today. They would need to bring about improvement. Young Owen has showed a bit of form in a limited hurdling campaign so far and that inexperience might count against him today. Overall, then, it's Thoutmosis for us.
