Sir Rowland Hill gets the vote here ahead of Solway Gale and Irishtown Leader. The selection looked promising when winning his bumper at Wetherby and, although a little disappointing first time up this season, may have needed the outing. We are prepared to forgive him that effort and he gets the vote. Solway Gale won a maiden hurdle at Carlisle but has been well beaten off marks of 87 and 85 in handicaps since then. Of the other pair, Irishtown Leader is very interesting in that he is by Supreme Leader out of a Strong Gale mare who won eight races in Ireland in bumpers, hurdles and a chase. Her best trip was two miles so he could be interesting but, for today, we'll side with Sir Rowland Hill to score for Ferdy Murphy and Davy Russell.
