Captain Scooby is back on the same mark as when winning this race last year and is one to consider, but he does have plenty to find on latest running with DOC HAY. Kevin Ryan's progressive sprinter won three times last month and though he's been beaten off higher marks since, he's back on his preferred slow ground today and can resume winning ways. Redcar winner Bedloe's Island has strong claims having finished ahead of the selection and Nadeen at Carlisle last time, while Rash Judgement and Pavershooz will be looking to take advantage of their slide down the weights some time soon.
