Few will want to oppose Fabulous Jet here, and Mick Channon's gelding is a confident choice ahead of the likes of Skiff and newcomer Red Rufus. Fabulous Jet has found one too good on three of his four starts to date, but his defeats have been at a decent level. Just touched off over nine furlongs at Kempton last time, the extra trip appears to be the answer, and he should cruise home before tackling handicap company for the rest of the season. Red Rufus is a son of Groom Dancer and is well though of at home so he will be expected to give a prominent showing without being good enough to beat the market leader, while Skiff has to improve on his two runs to date but at least has the experience. Hope Sound, in contrast, sees the racecourse for the first time but is probably nothing special, while Stoop To Conquer, closely related to useful stayer Give Thanks, should improve on his quiet Leicester debut.
