Funny Times is easily the pick of the experienced horses and expected to land this event from the newcomers Fortuna Favente and Another Jameson. The selection is trained by Nicky Richards who has a terrific record in these events, and he ran a race full of promise first time out when chasing home Chef De Cour. With plenty of improvement expected he should be capable of going one better. Another Jameson is trained by Malcolm Jefferson and is very nicely bred by Good Thyne out of useful chaser Another Grouse. Having cost 52, 000 euros as a three-year-old he was a relatively expensive purchase and should be watched closely in the betting market. The same applies to Fortuna Favente a daughter of Supreme Leader and trained by Howard Johnson. Culbann showed plenty of promise last season and may prove best of the others, but it is difficult to look further than Funny Times who is a confident selection.
