Verdict

A gamble went astray on AUTHORSHIP at Leicester last month but he was hampered in the early stages and again when trying to mount a challenge approaching the final furlong. He clearly has ability and can recoup losses here granted luck in-running. Naaz ran in snatches at Lingfield last time and may appreciate the switch back to Turf but the drop in distance may not suit Sunbula and the handicapper may have caught up with Al Thumama. Gioia Di Vita has been raised 3lb since a narrow defeat at Doncaster but Mash Potato came up against a well-handicapped rival at Ayr on Monday and could play a part while The Codger is unexposed, though lacks a recent run.
