In depth

Verdict

Broken Rifle has been racing in Class 6 handicaps, landing one by a neck here a fortnight ago for which he's up 2lb. PALLAS DANCER completed a Tapeta double in the autumn and reappeared earlier this month with a narrow defeat in a handicap at this level so looks the one to beat. Tejano, a winner over slightly shorter in Ireland last May, found 1m6f well beyond her on her debut for new connections at Chelmsford while prolific winner Dragons Will Rise appeared to find a 6lb rise for a previous victory just beyond him here last month. Jomont landed a track and trip double in the autumn and found 1m4f beyond him here last month but he looks the main threat back over his correct trip.
