SANA ABEL can land this maiden at the main expense of Leceile and Stanstill. The selection is a half-sister to the Oaks-winner Eswarah and despite being easy to back she ran well enough on her debut at Yarmouth over 1m. She was doing her best work at the finish that day so this longer trip will suit and with the benefit of that racecourse experience under her belt she looks to have a leading chance. Leceile has showed up well on her two starts to date, over 7f and 1m, and William Haggas has his string in sparkling form so she has to be of interest now that she is upped to a more suitable trip. Stanstill was making his seasonal return at Hamilton last week when he showed that he had trained-on when being narrowly beaten by Caerlaverock. He is now qualified to run in handicaps and that looks his best route for success. Noor Al Bahar and Sanctuary are worth a look in the market on their first first visit to a racecourse, but Sana Abel sets a fair benchmark here and she should prove tough to beat.
