SIMARTHUR won a Hexham maiden in good style when the 107-rated Romany Ryme was beaten 4l receiving 7lb so a rating of 115 on his handicap debut doesn't look harsh and he can go in again. The latter was travelling very easily when brought down at Kelso subsequently so the form looks decent. Luctor Emergo stepped up to this trip for the first time at Musselburgh and could hardly have won with more authority, coming home 10l clear of Total Assets and receiving a 13lb hike in the weights as a result. Snapping Turtle came with a strong late run to catch Ruby Bay over 2m4f here last time and the longer trip will be in his favour but Magic Present looks high in the weights for what he's achieved over hurdles.
