In depth

Verdict

Tikkandemickey beat today's rival Walser 7l in heavy going at Hexham in November and hasn't performed badly in his two subsequent races following a 9lb rise. Big Society appears to have lost confidence following two mishaps over fences while Picks Milan broke a blood vessel when last seen at Wetherby in May. The latter's stablemate Just Cameron faces testing ground for the first time but has more scope than most of these rivals and ran well for a long way at Carlisle last month. Philip Kirby also saddles Mrs Eff, who completed a hat-trick in the spring and would have a chance of taking to the conditions. BASFORD BOB ran his best race for a very long time when a close third to No No Bingo in heavy ground at Haydock and that form would probably be good enough for this. Sparkling Hand has won twice here and looks well enough treated to get competitive along with the lightly-raced Northern Oscar, who was beaten less than a length when fourth at Market Rasen.
