More form to go on than the first division but not all of it quality; narrow preference is for BOLODENKA ahead of the first-time-blinkered Skylancer and Santo Stefano. Richard Fahey's six-time flat winner has only had the one start over timber when he took a tumble at Aintree. That was a better race than this and he was still going well when falling so assuming that his confidence is intact he should win. Empty Sky represents a stable in good form and he ran well last time, Percutant was brought down on his recent hurdling debut, whilst King In Waiting has kept better company in the past but he looks nothing out of the ordinary. Skylancer and Santo Stefano were both well-fancied when last seen and each needs respect here, with the latter holding some decent bumper form when trained in Ireland last year. He didn¿t impress on two subsequent runs for the yard but will be better now tackling an obstacle. A competitive heat, with Bolodenka most fancied.
