Three-year-olds have won two of the last three and are well represented this time. Birkdale Boy completed a double at Lingfield in February and has had a nice long break so if applying that sort of form to Turf has to be on the shortlist. Justice First has also won on that track and very nearly doubled his winning tally when just failing to hold Honcho at Newmarket though that was over a furlong shorter. Fast Charlie landed a handicap in his own age group at Thirsk then couldn't handle a mile on soft going at Hamilton so should do better. LIBERAL ANGEL has yet to win but almost made all over the track and trip last week and a repeat might just be good enough. Hernando Torres landed a poor handicap here in April and looks best of the older horses along with the consistent Cliff.
