Verdict
Summer Lodge gets the vote over Moonlight Music, Grey Outlook and Laheen. Summer Lodge has certainly been frustrating to follow since losing his maiden in the stewards room here in August, having been placed five times, with neither blinkers or a visor working the oracle. However, the former Mark Tompkins inmate ran well enough on his first outing for Alan McCabe at Wolverhampton last time, and in a poor race like this, he is taken to oblige. Former stablemate Laheen is another that has been hard to place, and a bigger threat is likely to be Moonlight Music who was a close second in a 10-furlong maiden here in May. The ground was similar to today's and she has dropped to a handy mark as well, so as long as she gets the trip, Eoghan O'Neill's filly can go close. Grey Outlook looked a hard ride when third at Catterick, but is another that will at least go on the ground. The remainder make little or no appeal, and for the winner we return to Summer Lodge.
