In this handicap, Dium Mac gets the call ahead Damburger Xpress and San Deng. Dium Mac got a 'nearest at finish' comment from the form book last time from his revised rating following a win. Up in trip today, he looks as though he can build on that and should be up to going well, although Damburger Xpress is two pounds better off with him for a length and a half based on their Redcar meeting last October. Street Life has a good chance on his 2004 form but all of his wins have come with some give in the going (the going was good at the time of writing). Bukit Fraser has a bit to prove, although he attracted some money last time. The handicapper seems reluctant to drop San Deng for his consistency, but he holds place claims. Nabir is lightly raced on Turf on the Flat, races in a first-time tongue tie and holds claims on his old form, while Bookman might improve for the drop into handicaps. Trouble Mountain, Rotuma and Apache Point would have to be considered if recapturing their best, while much as Donna's Double's last two wins have come in sellers, he has proven that he can go well from today's mark outside of that level. Once again, it's competitive with the vote going to Dium Mac.
