In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call with Figaro's Quest, Zoripp, Archie Babe and Shekan Star worth noting with the tentative vote going to the last named. Keith Reveley has his charge in great form this season winning on his seasonal debut at Kempton before losing nothing in defeat at Beverley last time out when beaten by Gramada narrowly. The form has not worked out badly and with a nice racing weight to carry he can go well. Figaro's Quest comes here after two wins at Brighton and Wolverhampton and carries a six pound penalty for the latest win. Connections must feel confident and another bold show is expected. Zoripp won at Southwell on his reappearance and even though he won nicely more will be needed here and Archie Babe, even though is not getting any younger, ran well to finish second at Pontefract on his return so is another to note. But for the winner the tentative nod goes to Shekan Star.
