Sajanjl has returned a losing favourite over longer trips than this the last twice now. She still has the beating of Dream On Dreamer on these terms but Tum Tum is weighted to go close back over a mile today and looks the main danger to MERCHANT OF VENICE. The latter opened his account in maiden company at Kempton in December, despite showing signs of inexperience and only getting into full stride in the closing stages. There looks more to come on that evidence and James Fanshawe’s charge can defy a penalty. The remainder are harder to fancy including the newcomer and 240,000gns yearling Blindingly, sold by Godolphin for only £10,000 in August.
