Verdict

Buckstruther is the tentative suggestion following his course and distance third last month. The longer trip and the better ground could bring about an improved performance from It's Teescomponents whilst there are any number of potential improvers lurking in the field; keep an eye on the market. The selection's latest run was the first time that he has made the frame in eleven starts so he hasn't exactly been hiding his light under a bushel. That was a perfectly respectable effort though as was his fourth to Smart Man at Catterick in December. There are no problems with ground or trip and a similar level of form may be enough to see him in the mix. Its Teescomponents hasn't really gone on since a promising debut in a bumper. She's run some fair races and was well backed at Kelso last time; there may well be more to come now she's handicapping and her yard's in good form. Ferdy Murphy has a strong hand and it will be interesting to see how they move in the market with Irish raider Mac's Conflict another to keep a close eye on. An open heat in which Buckstruther can only be a tentative selection.
