Politbureau has only won once in 29 starts on the Flat but already looks better over hurdles and landed a moderate race on heavy ground here in good style. However, an 8lb rise won't help and connections will be hoping for more rain. LIGHT THE CITY hasn't won over timber for just over a year but he's generally consistent and was unlucky not to finish closer at Sedgefield last time - that may be good enough for this. Snowed In likes to be up with the pace and was in the lead at this trip when scoring over 2m3f at Catterick on New Year's Day, though a 7lb rise took the edge of him back there a week later. Seven-times Flat winner Ginger Jack looked in need of a stiffer test at Musselburgh last time and could get it here but Forster Street hasn't run since August 2013. Captain Sharpe is only 5lb higher than his victory here in December so he's another to consider in a wide-open race.
