Verdict

CARLANDA bids for a hat-trick after notching up a couple of wins over 1m4f here. A close-up second in last year's renewal, Mike Appleby's mare looks the one to beat despite a 5lb rise in the weights. Lexington Bay is a course and distance winner but that was back in 2013 while Crakehall Lad won here in January but threw in one of his occasional poor efforts on his latest start. Samtu was beaten a long way out over 2m here last time and the remaining pair are even are harder to recommend in their current form.
